Leather Fantasy - an evening of Luxury and Couture

"Leather Fantasy", an event organized by Dah Hwa at the Shintori Japanese Restaurant in Jing An district, Shanghai on September 2nd, 2004, was a big success. Dah Hwa being an established leather trader in Hong Kong for half a century, has always been a step ahead for fashion leathers in the industry, devoted to source the best and finest leather to the local market .

In order to introduce to the great China market the concept and use of fine and fashionable leather, Dah Hwa has commissioned Mr. Jonathan Chan, a Hong Kong leading top fashion designer, to design a collection of leather apparels by using the latest fashionable leather which Dah Hwa has sourced globally  from leading tanneries, such as Tre-G from Italy, Riba-Guixa from Spain, Inducol from Portugal and Waitaki Leathers from New Zealand.

Jonathan has brilliantly taken advantage of the luxury and unique characteristics of these new fashionable leather, and made them into an appealing and praised leather apparel collections.

The collection was presented in 8 different concepts - casting over 40 appealing apparels, ranging from sports, causual, classic and formal etc.  Each concept is distinguishable by the use of different fashionable leather including lamb suede, lamb nappa, embossed lamb nappa, double faced lamb, shearlings, and printed nappa etc.

Models from Hong Kong were flown in to Shanghai to join leading models in China for this show.  Guests were fascinated and applause to every outfit.

Nearly 300 guests and over 50 media from Hong Kong and China were at the event that evening.  Fusion Japanese buffet was served prior to the gala show.  After the show, many stayed behind and "disco" on the dance floor till late!
